Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
We are very proud of our provision for our 3, 4 and 5 year olds.
We believe learning should be fun, hands on and give children the knowledge to access to the amazing world in which we live. We have fantastic, recently refurbished, outdoor and indoor classrooms that all the children access throughout the day. Our caring and welcoming staff ensure that learning opportunities are as varied as possible by allowing our young learners the opportunity to spend time within our calm woodland area, or our welcoming and cosy library, or in our well-equipped school hall where special events are regularly held.
What is there to do?
The mud kitchen, planting area, role play, bike track, messy play, construction area and stage arenas to name a few, all help the children to develop their creativity and problem solving skills. Our recently refurbished classrooms are enabling environments. They are designed to build communication, collaboration, independence and provide children with the key knowledge and skills to start school life in the best way possible.
Curriculum
Our early years curriculum lays a secure foundation for future learning. We engage children in learning from the very start and expect our children to leave us as happy, confident and skillful communicators who are curious about the world around them. Our curriculum starts in Nursery and build up through Reception into Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
